Question Authorities Open Registration
We look forward to your participation in the
Question Authorities Open Tournament.
The competition will run April 15–18 and is designed to be flexible--you choose the day and time that works best for your team and compete at your convenience. Once you enter the competition, you will have four hours to finish it. You can snack, rest, eat pizza, whatever you wish as you progress. If you move through without pausing, you could finish in just over one hour.
Entry for this tournament is $100 per school. Only one team is allowed to register per school. Unlimited numbers of students may play. (More is not always better.) If we find, during the confirmation process, that a student or parent rather than a school sanctioned coach or sponsor has registered, your fee will be refunded minus a $10 administrative fee. The school sanctioned coach or sponsor must also be available to supervise the entire game.
Once we receive your entry fee, we’ll email you full rules and procedures and a link to log into the competition server where the tournament will take place. Two 30-question practice rounds will also be available there beginning April 1st. Teams need to BOTH fill in and submit the team registration form and pay for the team's participation on this page before they are considered fully registered.
At the conclusion of the tournament, we will mail up to 10 stickers and swag for each school. Digital files for certificates of participation will be sent to the coaches by email. Schools who come out on top will also receive trophies for the top finishers (up to four awards dependent upon depth of competition) in three divisions. The divisions will be determined by the number and size of schools registered, We will divide them into approximately equal numbers once registration is closed. Schools should count only the number of students enrolled in grades 9-12. Registration closes April 13th.
